Summer is here and that means that Startup Life has begun. We are super excited about the summer that has started. As the summer goes forwards we’ll be introducing this summer’s Startup Lifers to you in series of blog posts as well as other happenings.
I am really into startups and eager to join new exciting projects. Currently, I am changing the North European startup ecosystem via Aalto Entrepreneurship Society, where I serve as a Board Member. Furthermore, I am working at Mendor, a cutting edge health care startup from Finland. Mendor makes the everyday lives of people with diabetes a lot easier by providing discreet, easy to use and all-in-one blood glucose meters and smart analysis software for blood glucose monitoring.
My best qualities are project management skills, analytical approach and ability to solve problems. In addition, I love to travel and experience new cultures.
I am a spanish student from Madrid. I started computer science in
Carlos III University in 2006, and I’ve been this last year as an
exchange in Aalto university.
I am about to finish my degree, this last year I’ve focused a lot in
web related stuff, and I applied to a software developer position in
Kiosked and got hired!
I’ve started working full-time now and with the perspective of keeping
it as a permanent job! So now I will focus in working and enjoying the
finnish summer in my free time!
I intern at Simpa Networks, a Bangalore-based multinational energy startup that aims to bring solar energy to the unelectrified through a “pay-as-you-go” business model. At Simpa, I’ve worked on creating various marketing materials and instructions for different user groups as well as setting up customer support.
Simpa works in an emerging industry with a new business model – as an intern I got to see the many sides of building a fast growing product-centric business, from technology hurdles and establishing distribution channels to understanding customer behavior and marketing the product accordingly.
I’m a third year student at Aalto University in Media Technology. I’ll be working at drawElements a company that concentrates on GPU benchmarking software. My job includes software development with C++ and working on graphic APIs and their functionalities. Mostly I’m waiting to get to solve interesting geometric and mathematical problems. Further, I’ll have the chance to get the to know GPU technology better.
I’m a marketing student from the Universty of Vaasa and I’m just about to finish my studies. This summer I’m gonna work for Asema Electronics as a communications and marketing intern. What I wait the most from this summer are the new challenges and people that I’m going to meet.
